About
My name is Jennifer (of course it is, I was born in the early seventies).
This is my foray into the world of blog.
I am an ex-marketing gal, freelance writer and mother of two. I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for 6 years.
I always have a little bit more than I can successfully handle going on (yeah, uh, that would be called motherhood).
I love to write.
I love my daughter’s crazy outfits of ballet skirts, Hello Kitty bling and mismatched socks.
I love that my son is now as big a Star Wars fan as my husband and my house is littered with Star Wars ships, action figures and other various paraphernalia. Thank you Ebay.
I spend a fair amount of time bargain shopping for clothes and accessories. I have a “bag of bags” (with a decent collection of vintage evening bags that were all under $5).
My house is not that clean. In fact, I outsource that function not because I’m fancy, but because I’d like to think I’m a smart business woman. I know my core competencies. Removing shower mildew is not one of them.
I have a percolator that works overtime. If you come to my house, I will offer you coffee.
You get the idea.
I hope HeyGirl makes you laugh, makes you think, inspires you to do something for yourself, or sparks an idea…or at least directs you to some super cute new shoes.
And if you read something on these pages that really speaks to you…I’d love to know about it.
Enjoy!

P.S. My brother Matt does all the design/backend magic for this website. He’s wicked creative, very tech savvy and he eats way too healthy.
